Top 20 Corporate Event Venues in Toronto (2026 Edition)

Last updated: November 7, 2026. Capacities read on each venue's own website in November 2026.

The best corporate event venues in Toronto for 2026 are the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Enercare Centre for events over 2,000 guests; the Fairmont Royal York, Westin Harbour Castle and Four Seasons for events that need hotel rooms on site; SixtyEight, Aera and the Globe and Mail Centre for modern spaces with skyline views; and Casa Loma, The Carlu, the AGO and the ROM for heritage and gallery settings. Capacity runs from about 30 seated in a private dining room to more than 10,000 at the convention centre.

Toronto hosted 74 major meetings in 2025, multi-day events with more than 1,000 attendees, drawing an estimated 378,000 delegates and $982 million in economic impact, according to Destination Toronto. Demand for the best rooms is real, so the choice deserves more than a reputation check. Three questions decide it: does the room hold your guest count in your format, what does the venue include and restrict, and how do guests arrive and where do they sleep.

Every capacity below comes from the venue's own website. The production notes come from events The Idea Hunter has delivered in these rooms, part of the 220+ events we produce each year.

Figures are each venue's largest room or full buyout, as published by the venue. Where a venue's own pages disagree, the table shows the lower figure. Confirm the figure for your layout before you sign, because staging, dance floors and AV positions all reduce it.

How Do You Choose a Corporate Event Venue in Toronto?

Choose by guest count and format first, by what the venue includes and restricts second, and by access third. A room that holds 400 for a cocktail reception may seat only half that for dinner, so start with the format, not the headline number. Then read the vendor rules and the access windows, because those decide your budget and your schedule more than the room itself.

Use these checks when you compare venues:

  • Capacity in your format. Ask for the capacity chart by layout: reception, banquet rounds, theatre and classroom. The Fairmont Royal York's Canadian Room, for example, holds 1,670 for a reception and 1,080 at rounds of 10.
  • Flexible layouts. Divisible ballrooms let one venue carry a plenary, breakouts and dinner. Hilton Toronto Markham Suites splits its conference centre into five sections; the Four Seasons splits the Aria Ballroom into east and west.
  • Hotel rooms on site or nearby. For multi-day programs, a hotel venue saves transfers and keeps attendance high after dinner. Six of the 20 venues here have rooms on site.
  • Airport access. Teams flying in for one day often do better near Pearson than downtown.
  • Catering rules and dietary needs. Many venues use an exclusive caterer. At The Carlu, the only outside food allowed is the cake. Confirm the venue can handle your dietary list in writing.
  • AV, power, rigging and load-in. Ask where power is, whether there are rigging points, and when the loading dock and freight elevator are free. These decide whether your decor and staging plan works.
  • Minimum spends and outside-vendor fees. Many venues charge a food and beverage minimum that varies by day and season, plus fees when you bring outside AV or decor. Read the fine print for gratuity and service charges before comparing quotes.
  • Accessibility, transit and parking. Confirm step-free entry, elevator access to the event floor and accessible washrooms, plus the nearest subway and parking rate.
  • Wifi and business amenities. For conferences, confirm bandwidth, breakout rooms and a green room.
  • Sustainability. If your company reports event impact, ask about waste diversion, local menus and donation of leftover food, and get the answers in writing.
"Most venue problems start in the contract, not the room. Read the outside-vendor fees, the load-in window and the minimum spend before you fall for the view."
Fadi Dawood, President, The Idea Hunter

If you would rather not run this checklist across a dozen venues yourself, our venue sourcing team will do it at no cost for events of $50,000 and up. One 15 to 20 minute call, and within 3 to 5 business days you get a shortlist with capacity, availability and an all-in budget range for each venue.

Which Toronto Venues Hold the Largest Corporate Events?

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Enercare Centre, Westin Harbour Castle and Liberty Grand hold Toronto's largest corporate events, from 1,000 guests to more than 10,000. Convention halls arrive as blank space, so plan staging, drape, lighting and furniture into the budget.

1. Metro Toronto Convention Centre

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is the city's largest purpose-built conference venue, with Hall ABC holding up to 10,570 for a reception and 10,170 for a banquet, per its capacity table. It sits on Front Street in the heart of downtown and runs in-house catering. There are no hotel rooms in the building, so book a room block nearby for multi-day programs. The Idea Hunter has delivered six events here.

2. Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place

Enercare Centre is the choice for the very largest banquets and shows, with Halls A to D seating up to 14,900 for a banquet, per Exhibition Place. It uses an exclusive caterer. Installations follow Exhibition Place rules: signage and vinyl need approval in advance, only low-adhesive vinyl is allowed, and installation is done by your general service contractor or union labour depending on the location. Build those steps into the timeline early.

3. Liberty Grand

A chandeliered ballroom at Liberty Grand set with round tables for a banquet.
Liberty Grand, Exhibition Place.

Liberty Grand is a heritage venue on the Exhibition Place grounds that hosts groups from 100 to 1,000, per its planning page; its Governor's Room page lists 800 for a banquet. The venue works with an in-house AV and video company. The Idea Hunter has delivered two events here.

Which Toronto Venues Have Hotel Rooms on Site?

The Fairmont Royal York, Westin Harbour Castle, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Hotel X, Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Hilton Toronto Markham Suites all combine event space with guest rooms on site. For conferences and multi-day programs, that removes transfers and keeps guests together from breakfast to the last session.

4. Fairmont Royal York

Breakdancers perform on a light-up dance floor in front of an LED stage at a corporate holiday party at the Fairmont Royal York.
A corporate holiday party at the Fairmont Royal York, produced by The Idea Hunter.

The Fairmont Royal York is The Idea Hunter's most-used venue, with 14 events delivered since February 2025, and its Canadian Room holds up to 1,670 for a reception and 1,080 at rounds of 10, per the Fairmont. It sits across from Union Station at 100 Front Street West. A production note from our own files: the Ballroom has no official rigging points, but its wall hooks are usable within a weight limit, so plan any suspended decor with the venue and your AV team before you commit to it.

5. Westin Harbour Castle

A ballroom at the Westin Harbour Castle lit in purple and blue for a corporate dinner.
Westin Harbour Castle, 1 Harbour Square.

The Westin Harbour Castle offers the largest hotel ballroom on this list, with the Metropolitan Ballroom holding up to 3,000 for a reception and 2,200 for a banquet, per Marriott. It sits on the waterfront at 1 Harbour Square, with an in-house AV partner on site and a service charge on all food and drink. The Idea Hunter has delivered eight events here since February 2025, including the registration hub and coach departures for Schindler's 150th anniversary.

6. Four Seasons Hotel Toronto

A conference session on stage with an Insulate America backdrop and large screens, in front of a seated audience.
Insulate America Connect, hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto and produced by The Idea Hunter.

The Four Seasons is Yorkville's executive venue, with 259 rooms and 14,300 square feet of event space; the Aria Ballroom holds up to 565 for a reception and 430 for a banquet, per the Four Seasons. The ballroom divides into Aria East and Aria West. For Insulate America Connect, a five-day, six-venue program for about 375 guests, the Aria Ballroom carried the welcome reception, the daytime business sessions and the closing gala.

7. Hotel X Toronto

A glass-walled event space at Hotel X Toronto set with lounge seating and a red carpet aisle.
Hotel X Toronto, on the Exhibition Place grounds.

Hotel X is a lakefront hotel on the Exhibition Place grounds, with the Victory Ballroom holding up to 500 for a reception and 360 for a banquet, per Hotel X. It offers full-service catering and suits meetings where guests want space and light away from the core. The Idea Hunter has delivered four events here.

Where Can You Find Modern Event Space with Skyline Views in Toronto?

The Globe and Mail Centre, Aera at The Well and SixtyEight offer Toronto's best modern event spaces with skyline views, each for groups of up to 250 to 400. All three are in towers, so the loading dock and elevator schedule governs the build.

8. Globe and Mail Centre

Guests checking in at branded counters for Ada's event at the Globe and Mail Centre.

The Globe and Mail Centre holds up to 400 for a reception and 300 seated, per Oliver & Bonacini, with floor-to-ceiling windows and CN Tower sightlines that show up in most photos of the space. Access is through a shared loading dock and elevator, and that governs the schedule. For Ada's event, furniture loaded in from midnight and the fabrication crew from 3:30 AM. The venue also requires a compliance package from each vendor before load-in.

"In a tower venue, the loading dock decides your day. We book the dock and the elevator before we book the crew."
Hailey Dawood, Chief Huntress, The Idea Hunter

9. Aera at The Well

A window-lined corridor with panoramic city views at Schindler's 150th anniversary evening at The Well.
Schindler's 150th anniversary evening at The Well and Aera, produced by The Idea Hunter.

Aera sits on the 38th floor of The Well at Front and Spadina, and a restaurant buyout holds up to 250 for a reception and 165 seated, per Oliver & Bonacini. A minimum spend applies. The Idea Hunter produced Schindler's 150th anniversary at The Well, transforming the lobby with a 3D photo installation and custom displays before moving guests up to Aera. Our guide to Toronto venues changing corporate events in 2026 covers The Well in more depth.

10. SixtyEight

A high-floor event room at SixtyEight set with round tables beside floor-to-ceiling windows.
SixtyEight, Scotia Plaza, 68th floor.

SixtyEight occupies the 68th floor of Scotia Plaza at 40 King Street West and opened in September 2025; its main room, Cirrus, holds up to 250 for a reception and 180 seated, per Oliver & Bonacini. Smaller rooms on the same floor handle boardroom meetings of 4 to 20. It is one of the newest high-floor rooms in the Financial District. For more recent openings, see our guide to Toronto's newest corporate event venues.

The real variable is fit, not fame. A famous room that cannot seat your group for dinner, or that bans your caterer, costs more than a lesser-known room that fits. Match the venue to the event format, the guest count and the production plan first. If you want a shortlist built around those three, our free venue sourcing service does exactly that.

Which Historic Toronto Venues Work for Corporate Events?

The Carlu, Casa Loma, the Steam Whistle Roundhouse and the Design Exchange are Toronto's strongest historic venues for corporate events, holding from 250 seated to 1,500 standing. Heritage buildings carry rules on setup times, catering and installation, so read them before you plan the build.

11. The Carlu

The Round Room at The Carlu lit in purple with a disco ball over curved lounge seating.
The Carlu, College Park.

The Carlu holds up to 1,500 for a reception and 600 seated in its Concert Hall, with the Round Room (400 reception, 300 seated) and Sky Room (300 reception, 210 seated) alongside, per The Carlu. It has two full-service kitchens, and the only outside food allowed is the celebration cake. The Idea Hunter styled a holiday party across five of its rooms, which shows how far the space flexes when guests move between rooms.

12. Casa Loma

The Glass Pavilion and Gardens at Casa Loma (seasonal).

Casa Loma holds up to 1,500 guests across the entire facility, with the Library seating up to 200 for a banquet and the seasonal Glass Pavilion and Gardens up to 220, per the venue's 2023 corporate guide; confirm current figures through its corporate events page. Because the castle is open to the public during the day, event setup cannot start before 4:00 PM, all alcohol is supplied by the venue, and a food and beverage minimum applies by season. The Idea Hunter has delivered three events here, including one for about 500 guests.

13. Steam Whistle Roundhouse

A brick-walled hall at the Steam Whistle Roundhouse set with lounge furniture and a bar.
Steam Whistle Roundhouse, 255 Bremner Boulevard.

14. Design Exchange

A corporate event on the Design Exchange trading floor with a large tree installation and projected backdrop.

The Design Exchange occupies the former Toronto Stock Exchange building at 234 Bay Street, and its Trading Floor holds up to 300 for a reception and 250 for a seated dinner with a stage, per the Design Exchange. The old trading floor gives a Financial District event a sense of occasion without leaving the core. It works best for receptions, awards and launches.

Can You Host a Corporate Event at a Toronto Gallery or Museum?

Yes. The Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum both rent space for private corporate events after public hours, from about 80 seated to 2,500 standing. Expect exclusive caterers and set access windows, because the galleries open to the public by day.

15. Art Gallery of Ontario

Art Gallery of Ontario.

The AGO's Baillie Court holds up to 450 for a standing reception or 400 for a seated dinner, Walker Court up to 450 standing or 120 seated, and Galleria Italia up to 300 standing or 80 seated, per the AGO. Its in-house culinary team runs the catering. The Idea Hunter has delivered six events at the AGO, including a 450-guest holiday party.

16. Royal Ontario Museum

Royal Ontario Museum, Queen's Park.

The ROM holds up to 2,500 for a reception across the museum, and the Chen Crystal Court with the Currelly Gallery seats up to 550 for dinner, per the ROM. It uses a list of exclusive caterers. During the three-year OpenROM construction, the Bloor Street entrance is closed and the Queen's Park entrance stays open. From our own production notes: the museum closes to the public at 5:30 PM and security sweeps the building first, so plan presets while the public is in and the full setup after.

Which Toronto Restaurants Have Private Event Space for Corporate Groups?

Sassafraz in Yorkville and Chefs Hall in the Financial District both offer private event space for corporate groups, from about 30 seated to 400 standing. Restaurants keep catering in-house, which simplifies planning.

17. Sassafraz

Sassafraz at 100 Cumberland Street offers the Bellair Room for up to 80 at a reception or 32 seated, up to 200 standing across the Bellair and Cumberland rooms, and up to 144 seated for a full buyout, per Sassafraz. Food and drink come from its own kitchens, and outside food and drink are not permitted. It suits casual receptions and team nights downtown; for a team night with a structured activity, pair it with one of our hosted team building games.

Which Corporate Event Venue Is Closest to Pearson Airport?

Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Conference Centre is the venue on this list closest to Pearson, with 31 event rooms and a renovated Plaza Ballroom.

19. Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Conference Centre

It sits at 8500 Warden Avenue with guest rooms on site. The Idea Hunter produced the Bayshore HealthCare conference and gala here for 350 senior leaders.

Which Venues Work Best for a Corporate Holiday Party in Toronto?

The Carlu, Casa Loma, the AGO, the Steam Whistle Roundhouse and Chefs Hall are the strongest holiday party venues on this list, because they flex from 200 to 1,500 guests and carry their own atmosphere into December. Book holiday dates early, and book entertainment with them; our guide to booking a live band for a corporate event explains the timing. For office parties, see our office Christmas party planning guide. For a full holiday shortlist, see our guide to Toronto venues that turn into winter wonderlands and our corporate holiday party ideas.

Picked a Venue? Here Is What It Does Not Include

A venue gives you the room. The AV, staging, decor, entertainment and on-site staff that turn it into an event are usually separate, and they are where most of the planning time goes. Our guide to who to hire for a 100 to 500 person corporate event lists each vendor and what to negotiate. Start with the questions that come next: what the stage and screens need, what the room needs to look like (see our corporate event decor service), what entertainment fits the room (see live entertainment), and who runs the day.

The Idea Hunter has planned and produced corporate events across Toronto for more than 23 years and holds a 5.0 rating across 106 Google reviews. Tell us your guest count and date, and our venue sourcing team will send a shortlist within 3 to 5 business days, at no cost for events of $50,000 and up. Or see how we plan the whole event on our corporate event planner page. For cost ranges, read our Toronto corporate event planning cost guide. For retreat venues outside the city, see our guide to corporate retreats in Ontario and Niagara-on-the-Lake's newest venues.

Who offers modern event space in greater Toronto for large events?

For modern space over 1,000 guests, the Delta Toronto Airport's renovated Plaza Ballroom holds up to 2,000 for a reception and Hilton Toronto Markham Suites seats up to 1,200 under 20-foot ceilings. Downtown, the Globe and Mail Centre, Aera and SixtyEight offer modern rooms with skyline views for up to 250 to 400.

How do you compare top-rated event venues in Toronto?

Compare capacity in your exact format, then the vendor rules, then access. Ask each venue for its capacity chart by layout, its list of exclusive or preferred vendors, its outside-vendor fees and minimum spend, and its loading dock and setup windows, all in writing. Two venues with the same headline capacity can differ widely in real cost once those terms are read.

Which Toronto event venues have hotel rooms on site?

The Fairmont Royal York, Westin Harbour Castle, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto (259 rooms), Hotel X, Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Hilton Toronto Markham Suites all have guest rooms on site. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre does not, so book a room block nearby.

Is there corporate event space near Pearson Airport with parking and catering?

Yes. Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Conference Centre at 655 Dixon Road has 31 event rooms, an on-site culinary team and event parking. Confirm the per-person parking rate when you request the proposal.

Which Toronto venues offer flexible configurations?

Venues with divisible rooms flex best. Hilton Toronto Markham Suites divides its conference centre into sections, the Four Seasons splits the Aria Ballroom into east and west, The Carlu runs three main rooms side by side, and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre combines or separates its halls.

How far ahead should you book a corporate event venue in Toronto?

Plan large corporate events 12 to 16 weeks out and mid-size events 6 to 10 weeks out. Galas need 3 to 6 months; our corporate gala planning guide sets out the full timeline. Holiday party dates in December go first, so start those earliest.

Can you bring your own caterer to a Toronto venue?

Often not. The ROM uses a list of exclusive caterers, Enercare Centre has an exclusive caterer, Casa Loma supplies all alcohol, and The Carlu allows only an outside celebration cake. Ask for the catering policy before you shortlist a venue.

What does a venue sourcing service do?

A venue sourcing service builds a shortlist that fits your format, guest count and budget, and flags the contract terms that change the real cost, such as gratuity, outside-vendor fees and minimum spends. The Idea Hunter sources venues at no cost for corporate events of $50,000 and up, with a shortlist within 3 to 5 business days of a short call.
